WEROWOCOMOC PLANNED NATIONAL PARK
Planning is underway for a second National Park in the State of Virginia. It's name will be WEROWOCOMOCO NATIONAL PARK, to be located on the site of the village occupied by Powhatan and his daughter Pocahontas. In June 2016, the federal government purchased 260 acres of land located in Gloucester County, for $7.1 million.
In a partnership between the federal government and the State of Virginia, planning and work has just begin on Middle Peninsula State Park that is located next to Werowcomooco National Park and will share programming. It presently is under delay and advisement to the 45th President of the USA.
